This competition will be held inside The MMA Academy gym, with seating on the mats. As this is our first competition, production has been kept simple so we could put as much funding as possible into the prize pool, reflected in the low £14 ticket price.

Materials and Care
Materials
Our rash guards are made from 85% polyester and 15% spandex, featuring super fine Lycra v3.0. We use high-tech sublimation printing to ensure the designs stay vibrant and durable. The high-density flatlock stitching allows for 4-way stretch, and the silicone anti-slip band inside the hem ensures your rash guard stays in place during training.
Care Instructions
For the best care, we recommend hand washing your rash guards. But let's be real—most of us aren’t doing that (myself included). So, here’s what you can do:
- Wash them immediately after training.
- Turn them inside out before putting them in the washing machine.
- Run a cycle at 30°C.
To prevent odors, spray a little vinegar on them before each wash.

- Making the Rash Guard: £13.37 covers materials, shipping, design, and R&D.
- Operating Costs: £4.00 goes towards staff, storage, and running the business.
- Packaging & Fees: £1.49 – £2.26 depending on the payment processor we use.
- Marketing: £4.00 to help spread the word.
- Discounts: £3.20 when we offer discounts to new customers.
- Community Support: £2.00 goes to causes we care about, like sponsorships and community projects.
We’re happy to operate close to break-even on our rash guards because our goal is to compete aggressively and improve the scene. The small profits we do make on rash guards (along with slightly higher profit margins made on other products) go directly into growing the business. This will allow us to lower prices even more in the near future!
